Generic husband

I'm sure by now you are all annoyed by aware of this out of control tiny little crush I have on Adam Levine.  I really don't see it going anywhere anytime soon.  Well he was one SNL last night, looking hot as ever.  Which is a bit of a relief, because he was getting starting to look a little piratey on the last few episodes of The Voice.

He looked a bit like this.  This grosses me out!

While watching SNL with brion he kept teasing me about how much I like him.  I mentioned that he looked a  bit like Adam Levine and he should be happy.  I mentioned that they have about the same color hair and skin and both have dimples.  I told him Adam was just better.  I said I was married to the generic version of Adam Levine.  HAHA HA!  I love that we have the type of relationship we I can say things like that.  I've been around people that hide things about their past relationships or can't say what celebrity they think is good looking.  I think being open and honest is one of the main reasons Brion and I have such a great relationship.

I've been so honest in fact I have a feeling he'll never let me go to a Maroon 5 concert for fear of getting arrested just trying to get my hands on Mr. Levine.

Can you blame me?  Even wearing this, he is too freaking hot!

I think I may need an intervention!!!

Lists

Its that time of year where lists are on everyones mind.  Xmas lists, to do lists, xmas card lists, shopping lists, all kinds of lists.  I couldn't be hornier about it!  :)  I freaking love lists.  I actually made a list of all the lists that I need to make.

I made one for the grocery store, for Boogies xmas, Shelby Lynn's xmas, Brions xmas, other family xmas, things I want to get done before the holidays.. Well you get the picture.  I am however having trouble with making a list for myself.  Certain family members have asked for a list of what I want and for some reason I always really struggle with that.  I keep finding myself staring at the paper wondering what I can add.  I dont want to be difficult to the people asking me for ideas, but this is the best I've got so far.  



1. A salad spinner.  Yes I know, lame.  But i've never had one and I love salads and I find that a lot of the time the bottom of my salads get soupy from not being properly strained.

2. A new can opener  Not the fancy plug in kind.  The good old fashion crank kind.  They work the best.  Well they usually do, but I bought mine at the dollar tree and it works about as good as a $1 one would be expected to work

3. Clinique Happy  I've been wearing it since high school when I stopped using CK one.  Its somewhat reasonably priced, I love the smell AND I actually get compliments on it pretty regularly.  

4. Chipotle Gift Card  I freaking love that place and hardly ever get it for myself.  I know its considered fast food, but I still have trouble spending $8 for a burrito.  Even if they are heavenly.  

5. New tube of Mascara The tube I'm using now is the Olympic edition.  I bought it right before the summer Olympics   I've added a few drops of Brions contact solution to it a few times to stretch it out, so I think its about time.

6. A 1 hour massage  Does this one even need an explanation?

Well thats all that I can really think of.  What are you guys putting on your xmas list?  Maybe I can steal some ideas...

FB

Call me a loser if you want but I had to deactivate myself on FB for awhile.  I have no willpower to stay off it otherwise.  I always find myself  checking it anytime I was alone with my phone.  Thats usually not a problem, but lately after going through my newsfeed, I was finding myself in a bad mood.  I know part of the problem is me by letting silly stuff like Facebook get to me like that.  I just couldn't take all the "know it alls" and opinions, and complaining.  Again, that could be my fault.  I like to use FB to be nosy and see what my friends and acquaintances are up to.  Call me shallow for preferring to see what people did over the weekend, what they are making for dinner, or endless pics of peoples kids or pets, but  thats what I enjoyed about Facebook.  

I think the election put me over the edge.  Now that the election is over, I thought things would get better, but its been the opposite.  I have no problem with people having a difference of opinion   In fact, I saw great points on both sides.  But the idea that if someone doesn't agree with you and your views that they are stupid or less American, such bullshit. Of course we have all have different views, we all have different life experiences that shape our views of the world.  I wish I could go back and unread things "friends" of mine posted.  Ignorance really is bliss sometimes. I just can't deal with all the negativity   I mean come on, we dont have ANY freedoms??????  You go tell that to a kid in Africa who just took a bath in the river filled with his community's shit.  Or tell that to a young woman in the middle east who was fears of being stoned if she would ever get raped.  Yeah, we have NO freedoms.  I couldn't take the complaining about how everyone was saying how broke they were while they were typing it on from their $500 iPhone.  I mean, come on!!!    Also, to hate a man running for president just because he is rich.  That doesnt make much sense either.  Thats just as dumb as hating the guy running just because he's black.  

I also couldn't stand hearing people complain about EVERYTHING in their lives.  I'm not rich and I"m not poor, I'm grateful for everything that I have.  Dont get me wrong bitching about frivolous things is fun, like traffic and walmart, but when thats all you ever post about, i just cant take it.

I also think that facebook lost its sense of humor.  People always think everything is about them.  Sometimes a status update is just a joke, or an observation and not about a particular person.

I'm sure I'll be back.  I have no social life right now, and facebook is all i have.  Plus its the main way i keep in touch with a lot of special people that I dont get to see nearly enough.  And I have to get my baby pic fix.  But sometimes you just need to step away from something that is affecting you in a negative way.

Halloweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen

I know this post is a little on the late side, but as with most things in my life, I'm running behind.  I thought I'd still share some of our pics.  Usually Halloween is a BIG deal around here.  This year was a little different.  Brion had class and I was scheduled to work.  I took off but we thought it would be better if Brion didn't skip school.  So I took the kids to Brions parents for their usual Halloween night party.  Usually everyone(kids and adults) dress up.  I guess I missed the memo that only the kids were dressing up because I was the only grown person in costume.  Thats really ok though, because I would have ignored it anyway.

Wow this kid really knows his momma!  Most of his answers were about me and food.  I know some answers dont make a ton of sense but those where his answers word for word.  I have to say he really enjoyed doing this together.  I'm always trying to find little things to do like this together.  I get a kick out of seeing how his brain works.

Time Flies...

Time flies when you are having fun.  I have been meaning to blog since the day after my last blog post.  I just haven't found where blogging  fits into this new routine of ours.  I'm really loving this job more and more everyday.  I miss my old co workers but being at home is just so great.  I just need to find time for blogging. I know that my blog is still pretty rough around the edges, but its something that I enjoy doing.    

So today, I found time.  I hope to find time again in the near future.  I feel like a lot has been going on around here.  Not sure where to start.  Maybe I'll just let my cell phone camera do the talking.
