AGT

Well, America's Got Talent has been on for a few weeks. Do you like it? I love it! This is my 1st year watching it(remember, because of Howard), and its pretty good. We even made it through the St. Louis auditions without embarrassing ourselves.

That was us.  If you blinked, you missed us.  I was sooooo happy that we got on there for proof, but even happier we were only on there for a split second.  Its hard to look like a fool in a second.

Well that calmness didnt last.  We found out that they are airing 1, maybe 2 more STL episodes.  Oh Joy, now I have to worry about being on there again acting a fool.  If you remember from a previous post, we got to go to one of the STL tapings of AGT.  It was awesome.  We were in the front row, only seats from Howard Stern.  The bad part was, that to stay in the front row, you had to be really animated and crazy, or you could lose your spot in the front.  Well we weren't taking any chances.  We wanted to be as close to Howard as possible.    I really hope we don't make it on tonight's episode.  If we do, I'm curious if we make it on there looking normal again.

We shall see

Sunscreen!

Well its official, I'm a dumbass.  I seriously have the worst sunburn of my adult life.  I wasn't even trying to get sun.  Sunday morning I got up cleaned the house and then decided I wanted to wash my car.  So I got the kids dressed, sunscreened them up (should have totally sprayed some on myself) and went outside.  I decided not to put any on because it was like 10 in the morning.  Big mistake!  The below pics is what 2 hours of morning sun can do to you.  Besides being really painful, its also looks super silly.  I didnt think I would get much sun so, I didn't really pay attention to what kind of tan lines I would be getting.  These pics dont even do it justice.  I came out of the shower just now, in just a robe.  I flashed Brion, and he couldn't stop laughing.  It so bright and splotchy!

Wear sunscreen People!

I'm serious, these pics do not do it justice.  I'm not being a pussy.

Motorcycle Rant

Let me start off by saying that I love motorcycles.  I think they are sexy!  Its been awhile since I've been on the back of one, but I think they are great.  I mean, who doesn't like to see this.

Marisa Miller with a Harley Coastguard Nightster
Gotta love Marisa Miller!
But, this blog isnt about how much I love them.  Its about the douchbags that drive them carelessly.  When I am driving and I see a motorcycle, I'm extra careful.  I dont want to ever be in an accident with a motorcycle.  The driver is so vulnerable.  With that being said, the drivers, need to do their part too!

I dont care if you wear a helmet or not.  Thats the risk you've decided to take.  What I do have a problem with is when people driving motorcycles think the rules of the road dont apply to them.  They want us to watch out for them.

But they have to do their part.  Now that the weather is nice, I see it all the time.  I'll be on the interstate either on my way to work or on my way home, and there will be a motorcycle driving like a douchebag.  Weaving in and out of traffic. I guess signals are for pussies because you don't see them much.  A lot of the time when they are doing this, they are driving faster than me.  (i'm usually going 80)  How the hell are we supposed to watch out for you, if we can't see you!

Yesterday, while stuck in traffic, I watched 2 motorcycles squeeze between the 2 backed up lanes and then force their way into the front of the line.  I cant tell you how furious that makes me.  Don't even get me started on when they use the shoulder!!!

Again, I love motorcycles!  This isn't about all motorcycles.  Just the doucebags.

End of rant.

1st Family Getaway!

Last weekend we took the kids out of town for the very 1st time.  It was sort of a trial run for a possible vacation next year.  WHen I was younger I vaguely remember going to a Wild Animal Safari a few hours away.  So I googled and and we decided to go.  This place is AMAZING!  We had a great time and it cost us a whopping $41 for all 4 of us, and that included feed for the animals.

Here is a link to the place http://www.animalsafari.com/Wild_Animal_Safari.html

Anyways, the kids were amazing.  Shelby Lynn enjoyed herself much more than I thought she would.  THe hotel was perfect.  If you are ever in Springfield MO, I highly recommend it.  It was only $89 a night!  http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/spicy-courtyard-springfield/

I took a ton of pics of the hotel, the safari, and some of the other things we did.

Enjoy!

Loving the road trip!

Believe it or not she was good.  She just is an ugly traveler.
I giggled EVERY time!

Soooo happy to be out of the car!

I love this face.
